I’ve been getting nonstop calls and letters from Gulf Coast Collection Bureau, and it’s starting to really wear me down. I know debt collectors can contact you, but this feels like straight-up harassment. They’re calling several times a day, even after I asked them to stop, and sometimes they leave vague voicemails that sound threatening. I’ve tried to look into my rights and found this page that talks about how to stop Gulf Coast Collection Bureau debt collection harassment: https://protectionforconsumers.com/stop-gulf-coast-collection-bureau-debt-collection-harassment/.
Has anyone else had to deal with them before? Did you send a cease-and-desist letter or dispute the debt? I’d really like to hear what worked for others, because I’m tired of feeling anxious every time my phone rings. If you’ve gone through something similar, please share what helped you get them to back off.
